From the story by Massimo Scognamiglio
They were invisible. Now all of Rome is watching.
Logline
Four Bangladeshi delivery riders and Apa, the older sister who holds them together, turn their night shifts into robberies and their robberies into livestreams. For the first time, Rome has to look them in the eye.
The story
Torpignattara, Centocelle, the Via Casilina after dark. There is a Bengali Rome of corner shops, remittances, weddings and debts that hardly anyone sees. Its heart is the Dhaka Mini Market, and Apa keeps the books.
Every night Ibra, Ferro, Nab and Rash cross the city with yellow delivery bags on their backs. Nobody pays attention to them, and they decide to take advantage of it. They start robbing, film every job and post it online like a trap video. The views climb. So do the Dragona, the wrong kind of cops, and Babu.
Notes
The series shows Rome’s Bangladeshi community in the eastern suburbs from the inside, with Apa as narrator: Roman crime seen by the people who usually stay in the background. The project website has the full dossier: synopsis, characters, episodes, look book and budget.
