The story
Every month a Michelin-starred chef cooks his last supper. The next morning he is found at the centre of a grotesque tableau, half crime scene, half plated dish.
Maria Liberati, a single mother, describes herself as boring and unattractive. Pietro Angelini is the rock star of haute cuisine, the man who put Italy at the top of the world rankings. Together they read the crime scenes like recipes and realise that each victim adds an ingredient: the killer is cooking the perfect meal, one that will give him a new life. Behind him stands an organisation that wants control of Italy’s food and wine trade.
