Every perfume in the world is bottled in Italy, and bergamot grows where the mafia rules. Four characters hunt for the ultimate essence, the scent of eternal life, behind the most elegant façade of Made in Italy.
The story
Bergamot is in six perfumes out of ten, and only Italy grows it, on land controlled by the ’Ndrangheta. When you press the atomiser you smell memories. In Odorama you also hear the gunshots of the people who run the trade.
A star perfumer in crisis, ready to pay any price for the essence he has never found. An apprentice nose who stumbles on the rarest spice of all. A mob affiliate about to be replaced while his wife takes over his business. A small niche producer with a mission. Then the fields burn, the antidote is lost, and the hunt for the last vial begins.
